1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Lawgic (Pty) Ltd's website and platform ("Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Services. These terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and subscribers.

2. Description of Services

Lawgic provides a cloud-based municipal operations platform, including case management, contract management, compliance monitoring, boardpack assembly, smart invoicing, reporting, document management, and related features. Access to specific features may vary based on your subscription plan.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Services to:

• Violate any applicable South African laws or regulations
• Infringe on the rights of others
• Transmit harmful, offensive, or unauthorised content
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Services

5. Data Protection

We process all personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Our Privacy Policy sets out the details of how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information. By using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Services are owned by Lawgic (Pty) Ltd and are protected by South African and international intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any data you input into the platform. You grant us a limited licence to use, process, and display that data solely for the purpose of providing the Services.

7. Subscription and Payment

Paid features are billed in South African Rand (ZAR) according to the pricing plan selected. Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by the Consumer Protection Act (CPA). We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice. Continued use of the Services after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, Lawgic (Pty) Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Services in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of South Africa.
